I fairly remember the statement so well that my GrandFather usually used to quote, given by Mahatma Gandhiji, "There are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread."
For once, can you imagine for how long one can stay without food, getting no proper nourishment and going hungry for the longest possible duration. Well, it is difficult for us to even ponder ourselves into that situation. Here, 'us' refers to those who can at the least afford to read this article.
Starvation is worst possible menace as I could think over all the possible threats to human in the world. There dwells no peace of mind, no desires of living, no adequacy of life without the purpose of living. What does a person is here for in the midst of all this? This does no good to humanity and society at a large.
Making sense to all this, there is a lot of population of India, especially the poor and poverty ridden children, for whom either the meals or education are the two options among which the choice is to be made. With no doubts, a human would first look to meet the hunger and the body requirements which would ultimately get him/her drifted to other matters of importance.
It is important to feed the children of this country in order to ensure their higher enrollment in schools and give their contribution to education and do things of importance that would bring a change in the growth and development of not only the individual but also the society at a large.
It is essential that the educated and well-paid masses of the country contribute a little to the society for the elimination of classroom hunger and make the best of efforts to pave the children of this country on the imagined path of 100% literate India.
The great initiative by Akshay Patra Organisation making their best possible efforts to collect funds from governments and other organisations for giving the best quality food to the hunger-struck children and shifting their mindsets towards education, is laudable. Such organisations are a great boon to the society as this would eliminate the problems of beggary and poverty. This is in-turn leading to the progress of these poor masses.
A cent-percent educated India would in short time be eliminated of the grave problem of hunger and this would take them to shoot for better heights and ensure the proper growth of future generations and India.
